A Passion for British Food
Food has always been a part of my life. Growing up in England, I was surrounded by people who loved to cook—my mother, a professional baker, and my brother, a trained chef. Their passion inspired me, and when I moved to the U.S. in 1980, I knew I wanted to share the flavors of home.
After years of experience in Washington, D.C., I opened La La Land in Rehoboth Beach in 1988, followed by Yum Yum, a Pan-Asian bistro.
But in 2002, I returned to my roots with Go Fish!, a small fish-and-chips takeout spot. It quickly became a local favorite, and before long, I expanded it into a full-service restaurant.
The Birth of Go Brit!
In 2012, I opened go brit!—a fast, casual restaurant that brings the same authentic British flavors to Lewes. Here, we serve up beer-battered fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, bangers and mash, mushy peas, and sticky toffee pudding in a sleek, modern setting.
Everything is made fresh, using high-quality ingredients to ensure every bite delivers true British comfort. From superior fish and crispy shrimp to our signature beer batter, we take pride in doing things the right way.
